Letter from Eamonn Mulhall, Scholarship Recipient - 2004
END OF YEAR REPORT TO ANTHONY KEARNS MUSIC FUND
2004 - 2005 Academic Year
Over the past year, the Anthony Kearns Music Fund has helped to part finance my studies at the Royal College of Music, London. Both my singing professor and I are very happy with my development and progress since September. I have continued to work on vocal technique as well as taking coaching with top class staff from companies such as Royal Opera, Covent Garden, English National Opera and the Metropolitan (NY).

Performance opportunities have continued to unfold in Ireland and the UK. These have included:

Oratorio:
Puccini Messa di Gloria, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Wexford
Handel Te Deum, Nottingham
Handel Messiah, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Dublin / Waterford
Mozart Mass in C minor, National Concert Hall, Dublin

Opera:
Handel Ezio, London Handel Festival
Scenes from Il barbiere di Siviglia and Die Entführung aus dem Serail, RCM

Song recital at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London

Upcoming performances:
Song recital in Wexford July 2005
Puccini La bohème (Parpignol), RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Dublin Dec 2005

For summer 2005, I will be singing at Glyndebourne Festival Opera in productions of Giulio Cesare and Otello and next September will take up training at the National Opera Studio in London. www.nationaloperastudio.org.uk

I am extremely grateful for the support of the Anthony Kearns Music Fund in helping my ongoing professional development.

Many thanks
