A Look Back on its Fourth Year
Having just celebrated its 4th birthday, the Music Fund begins to generate a recognizable cadence to its yearly activities. There are the two annual fundraisers, there are Board meetings, and there is the awarding of monies for instruments, music lessons, computer equipment, software and scholarships. But this is the first year that we have actually “met” and been able to “put a face” on some of the recipients. In July 2004 we welcomed Mairéad Buicke and Eamonn Mulhall to our website as vocal scholarship recipients, and in February of 2005 there were pictures to share of the F.C.J. Secondary School Band’s visit to Rhode Island. If you go to the MUSIC FUND – RECIPIENTS section of the website, you can meet and read about these most appreciative musicians who have benefited from the kindnesses of our many donors. As we thank our supporters and congratulate our recipients of the past, we look forward with the hope that we can do more of the same in the years to come!

With kind thanks,
Priscilla Horst, Executive Director
