STEERING COMMITTEE
GEARÓID GRANT (Chairman)
Gearóid has been teaching Music at F.C.J. Secondary School, Bunclody, Co. Wexford, since his graduation from University College Dublin in 1972, and has been Director of the school's Band since its foundation in 1983. Gearóid is well known for his work with many musical societies, orchestras and choirs at home and abroad. He has conducted the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), the RTE Concert Orchestra and the Ulster Orchestra and has been director of the National Youth Orchestra (under 18's) since it's inception. Gearóid is especially renowned for his work in music education including his "Music in the Classroom" series with the NSO which is sponsored by The Irish Times and RTE and is attended by 30,000 primary and secondary school children annually.
PRISCILLA HORST
Priscilla (Cilla) was inspired with the idea for the Fund when she attended an F.C.J. Bunclody Band concert in April 2001 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Priscilla is married with two daughters and lives in Ohio. While having no formal music training, she came to love music as a youngster. She played the handbells as a teenager, sang in her church, high school and college choirs, and has spent many years serving on committees of The Cleveland Institute of Music and The Cleveland Orchestra.
ANTHONY KEARNS

BETTY KEARNS
Betty represents the Kearns family on the Committee. All six of her children attended FCJ Bunclody. Two of them, Anthony and Joanne, are past members of the band.
KATHLEEN MacMULLAN
Kathleen, also a past pupil, is the Deputy Principal of F.C.J. Bunclody. She has been teaching in the school for over 25 years and her children are past members of the band.
EILEEN MARTIN
Eileen, a past pupil , has been the School Secretary at F.C.J. for over 20 years and has handled the Band's administrative work since it began. Two of her children are members of the Band as was her eldest son.
DEREK NALLY
Derek retired in 1987 having seved as General Secretary of the Association of Garda (Police) Sergeants & Inspectors, and as a member of the Governing Board of the International Union of Police Associations. Derek is currently Chairman/Managing Director of Emergency Response Ltd., (based in Bunclody) a Social Alarm Monitoring Centre for the elderly and physically challenged. In a voluntary capacity, Derek has been Chairperson of the National Federation of Youth Clubs and Vice-Chairperson of the National Youth Council. He was elected Vice-President of the Council of European National Youth Committees and a member of the Governing Board of the European Youth Foundation. He was founding chairman of the Irish Youth Foundation. In 1985 he founded the Irish Association for Victim Support and held the position of Chairperson, 1985-1995. In 1995 he was presented with a "People of the Year" Award for his "outstanding contribution to society in Ireland" for his work with victims of crime. In 1997 Derek stood as a candidate for the Presidency of Ireland.
ANN NOLAN
Ann is the Accountant at F.C.J. Bunclody and has been the Band's Treasurer for many years. Two of her children are members of the Band as was her eldest daughter.
