He was born in Guadalajara (Jalisco) México and started his musical studies in Querétaro City. Today he belongs to the Giusseppe Verdi´s Liric Art Atelier, directed by Gabriel Mijares, his vocal teacher.
Since 2000 he has been invited to sing in different productions such as Il Trovatore, Elixir of Love, Alice in Wonderland, Macbeth, Rhinegold, La Mulata de Córdoba, Juditha Trumphant of Vivaldi, Romeo y Julieta, La Vida Breve and La Traviata among others.
The OFUNAM has invited him to participate in Romeo and Julieta of Beriloz, The Petite Messe Solennelle of Rossini (with the Prestigeous Spanish Choir Orfeón Donostiarra) and also the Mozart´s Coronation Mass, the Beethoven Nineth Symphony and others.
The Wexford Festival Opera invited him for two consecutive years to sing Granados María del Carmen (2003), and in Mecadante´s La Vestale (2004), under Max Bragado and Antonio Arrivabeni conduction. Both operas are recorded live for CD by Naxos (Marco Polo).
He participated in the 10 Tenors Gala in London England, at The Royal Festival Hall, with the London Philharmonic under the direction of Maestro José Cura.
He made his debut at La Maestranza Theather in Puccini´s Madama Butterfly (Pinkerton) under the direction of Carlo Rizzi, and in the Netherlands he sang Puccini´s La Rondiene at the Utrecht Concert Hall under the direction of Miguel Gomez Martínez.
Last December he inaugurated the Zarzuela International Festival in Medina del Campo and Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
He recently won the third prize at the Dresdens Competizione Dell Opera Contest.
His plans for 2007 and 2008 include performing Mozart’s Mass in C Minor (Sala Neza), Zarzuela Tour in South America, concerts with the Köln Orchestra, Meyerbeer L’Africaine in Leipzig, Germany and Donizzetti’s Lucia di Lamermoor at the Salzburg Festival.
