She has performed in concerts, recitals and opera in such venues as the National Art Gallery of Ireland, the National Concert Hall Dublin, Farmleigh House Dublin, University Concert Hall Limerick and also in Italy, Scotland and the USA. In Feis Ceoil 2004, Mairead was awarded first place in several major singing competitions and was also awarded the prestigious Gervase Elwes Cup. In February 2004, she was awarded the Bill Canning Memorial Bursary for the most promising young performer in Ireland. Mairead was awarded first place in the Belfast Classical Music Bursary in April of this year, and most recently was awarded the RDS bursary. Last Summer Mairead studied with renowned tenor Ugo Benelli in Italy where she also performed in concert, and studied in St. Andrews College Scotland with such greats as Malcolm Martineau and Paul Hamburger. Mairead will continue her studies next year with voice teacher Janice Chapman in London and will study part-time at the National Opera Studio London. She will also travel to Italy to study under many renowned coaches in Milan and Pesaro.

MAIRÉAD J. BUICKE - Soprano
Limerick born Mairead Buicke has recently graduated with a BA Performance Degree from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, studying voice under the greatly acclaimed Dr. Veronica Dunne. Prior to her studies in Dublin, Mairead began her vocal training with Aine Nic Ghabhann Kerry and then with Robert Beare Cork.
His operatic roles include L'aumônier in Poulenc's Les Dialogues des Carmélites at the RCM, Dr. Blind Die Fledermaus for Clonter Opera, UK, Soldier The Emperor of Atlantis for Opera Theatre Co. Dublin, Ferrando and Don Ottavio in Opera Ireland student productions of Così fan tutte and Don Giovanni, and Sailor Dido and Aeneas with the Irish Chamber Orchestra under Nicholas McGegan. He has also given lieder and song recitals at the Bank of Ireland Arts Centre, for the Elgar Society of Great Britain and at Kortenberg Abbey, Belgium. Eamonn performed at the launch of a new Boosey & Hawkes volume of Quilter songs last year. Oratorio repertoire includes Handel Messiah, Mozart Requiem, Haydn Nelson Mass, Stainer The Crucifixion, Bach Easter Oratorio, St. John Passion and numerous Bach cantatas.

Future plans include Benjamin Britten's The Rape of Lucretia at the Royal College of Music, Handel's Messiah at Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin and Bach B minor Mass at the National Concert Hall in Dublin.
Eamonn Mulhall was born in Wexford and read French and Music at University College Dublin while studying singing part-time with Mary Brennan in Dublin. Additionally, he earned a Bachlelor of Music degree at UCD and a Higher Diploma Education at Trinity College, Dublin. Having just completed two years post-graduate studies at the Royal College of Music, London with Ryland Davies, he will begin the college's opera course in September 2004. Last year, Eamonn won 1st prize at the Madeline Finden Memorial Prize for young singers in the UK.
